Cherie Guidry, DVM
Chief of Staff
What makes me a great veterinarian? I am not sure it's just one thing alone. I can tell you that I love what I do, and over 15 years of practicing veterinary medicine, I still would not change a thing. I care about my clients as well as their pets. I listen to my clients and work with them to care for their pets. I am a “people” person as well as a pet lover.
Who am I? Not one title defines me. I am not only a veterinarian, but I am also a mother as well as a retired military wife. I have 3 full-time jobs and again I wouldn’t change a thing.
A little bit about me. I am originally from a small town called Cottonport, Louisiana. I was raised as a true Cajun. I attended college at Louisiana State University and graduated with my DVM in 2002. Geaux Tigers!! I have been a military wife and now my husband is retired and I am a mother of a very active teenager. Life keeps me pretty busy but I love every minute of it.
I have been featured in Fido Friendly magazine. (May-June 2010 issue “Alternative Healing”). I have also edited a book on dog diseases. On some Saturdays, you can find me at local pet stores educating pet owners in what we like to call “Ask the Vet Seminars”. I was also interviewed for a segment on King 5 News on salmon poisoning in 2013.
